Six Quarter Pounders

Okay, so I didn’t eat six quarter pounders, but I did drop a pound and a half… i.e. six quarter pounders… or 24 ounces might sound even better.  Still no movement on the waist, but really, having done not much besides drink next to no soda, it’s an improvement:

Weight: 215.1 lbs.
Waist: 40 inches

I think I may have found a new workout though.  We had a work party tonight and I tried Wii for the first time.  You heard me right… FIRST TIME on the Wii.  I *barely* lost (I’m not competitive, I promise) a boxing match to one of my employees.  He’s in way better shape than I am though, so I’m not too surprised.  I can already feel my arms getting sore from playing.  I can’t imagine what the rest of the games are like.  I just might have to look into getting one of these things.

  • Josh and I have started doing P90x. If you want a workout that will change your body, try this out. It is a 90 day program that comes with 12 dvd’s, and you do different workouts every day so you don’t get tired of what you are doing. It combines all different types of exercises so you don’t get bored of doing the same thing over and over. It is intense though! There are lots of before and after videos on YouTube. Here is one that I found http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8yEJBVLuKE
and here is the link to their commercial…this is what convinced Josh and I to try it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXZhfMFMqi4&NR=1
or you can just go to their website and check it out. The program is a little pricey, but we just looked on craig’slist and found ours for about 40 dollars. Well worth the money if you ask me! Good luck :o) We’ll be checking in often to see your progress!

  • I’ve also had someone else recommend P90x to me - maybe we’ll have to check it out!

Also, there’s a Wii Fit game that has some good exercise stuff that I think would be good to try.

  • Good luck Andrew! Way to put yourself out there. If we can’t lose weight in our thirties, it certainly begins to make the rest of our lives feel a bit more hopeless. Do it for the rest of us! Prove that 30 is still young.

  • Uh-oh. If I now have every male member of my family wanting a Wii…I’m not sure how
long we’ll be able to keep going without one! Btw, you’re doing great babe, and I was very impressed with your boxing match skills. :)
