It’s going to take a lot more to reach my short term goal to drop 8 pounds, but it’s better than nothing.

So, as for the post title, it’s been a joke in my family growing up for years.  I think the story originated from one of my mom’s sisters, but whenever someone big and fat says they lose weight, we ask the obvious question… how can you tell when an elephant loses weight?  Well, I’m not the size of an elephant exactly, but still — 0.2 pounds isn’t going to turn any heads with this fat bod!
