My Scale Likes Me Now

Okay, so, the new battery must be doing it’s job right, because this week it logged:

Weight: 208.8 lbs.
Waist: 39.25 inches

The crazy thing is, I haven’t been doing the best job these past couple weeks.  I know there are pretty decent size fluctuations with someone who weighs as much as I do, but I’ll just say it was encouraging to step on the scale and have it be on a “low” swing.  I’m going to need to step things up if I’m going to keep up the downward trend.

By the way, I just updated my progress chart to catch it up to date for the year.

Guess Again

Okay, so lame of me, but I never got around to buying a size CR 2032 battery this week, so my scale still wasn’t speaking to me.  So, once again, I’m going to take a guess and say I’m the same as last week:

Weight: 209.4 lbs.
Waist: 39.25 inches

My shoulder is still hurting, so I’m hoping I can recover a bit more and then get back on track.  Oh yea, and buy that battery…

Shot in the Dark

This morning when I stepped on the scale, I noticed something new — a dead battery message!  So, I’m just going to pretend like I’m the same as last week:

Weight: 209.4 lbs.
Waist: 39.25 inches

My shoulder has been hurting pretty bad, so this week I’m going to take things a little easier…

Basically Flat

I wish I were talking about my stomach, but it’s my progress, or lack thereof. Coming off a good week though, I should just be happy to be sub-210:

Weight: 209.4 lbs.
Waist: 39.25 inches

Alright, we’ll see what happens this next week!

Drop 3 Pounds in One Week!

Okay, this is my best week in a LONG time.  I was able to Drop 3 Pounds and lose a little more chub around the waist:

Weight: 209.2 lbs.
Waist: 39.25 inches

I’m a little perplexed, but I’ll take a week like this anytime.  After the previous week’s effort of consuming only about 10% of my usual “surplus food” intake and working out six days, I was a little bit discouraged to say the least that I was UP 0.2 pounds.

So, this time I decided to take it a bit easier on myself.  I went back down to exercising 5 days, Monday through Friday.  I also increased my treat intake back to a respectable 50% of the previous high.

Result: drop 3 pounds and a 1/4 inch on the waist!

Hypothesis: my body is allergic to high levels of diet and exercise :-)

Anybody else have any ideas?  What’s the deal with the lag time on results — if that’s even what’s happening.  I’m not sure what’s going on, but this week I’ll probably land somewhere in the middle with treat consumption to play it a bit safe and see where I land next Monday.
